Shaping up for Skandia Sail for Gold
Successful rehearsal at the RYA Youth NationalsThe Royal Yachting Association and Weymouth are tuning up for this years pinnacle event in Olympic sailing, Skandia Sail for Gold. The recent RYA Youth Nationals were key in preparing the ambitious online presentation of Sail for Gold.
David Campbell James, S4G Event Director and RYA Competition Manager commented, The technology used at the RYA Volvo Youth National Championships represents the RYA's approach to invest in technology and our objective to set a benchmark in the online promotion of sailing. The testing put in place this week will enable us to deliver a seamless information and media platform at the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta this summer.
TracTrac provided a comprehensive tracking solution of the Youth Nationals covering the entire fleets of the Laser Standard and Radial and the 420 in close integration with the online entry and result system of SailRacer and the 3D presentation of BeTomorrow. The smoothness of integration bears testimony of the strength and flexibility of the TracTrac system in linking up with any 3rd party and we are very proud to part of this project setting new standards for live presentation of Olympic sailing.
